Not able to make a grid with these specs:
min-width 1010
max width none
3 col with gutters
prefix sx

311 px col sx1
22 px gutter
322 px col sx2
22 px gutter
333 px col sx3

those numbers total 1010 pixels

Hey Ebenezer. Are you only looking to have columns at those specific sizes? Gridset is designed to work best for fluid – or percentage width columns.

For example, these column sizes could be represented as:

    30.7920% col sx1
    2.2% gutter
    31.8811% col sx2
    2.2% gutter
    32.9267% col sx3

This will give you the same proportions, but it will now fit multiple screen sizes. Please let me know if this helps. Thanks!

Nathan, that's a perfect answer and solves the problem for this one grid.

I understand on a working level the Gridset design philosophy and have used the system successfully on several websites since subscribing last January.

Two vexing issues remain related to the design of uneven grids that don't fit into the pre-designed ratios available to us in the software.

What I can't figure -- and this is after much diligent effort and study -- is how to manipulate the Gridset software to arrive at the percentages shown in your solution. The constrain width dialogue seems the logical place. But when I use that function, the column percentages don't change to reflect the widths in pixels. I can't make all the numbers match the total grid width.

And, equally important, when the grid is made, how can I translate the column and gutter percentages into pixels, which is absolutely necessary to properly size images.

These are arcane issues but maybe essential to a deeper understanding of Gridset, which is a great great product. It has allowed me to implement long-held print design principles into web design with much success. I think that was Mark's original intent.

I think, Nathan, I'm missing a foundational concept in the Gridset design philosophy.
